Kareeblom Guest House was designed by Sir Herbert Baker and built in 1920.

When it was restored to its original status, great attention was paid to maintaining the original pressed lead ceilings which were still found in the greater part of the house.

Due to the age of the house, it will be difficult to convince the Cultural Historical Committee in Brooklyn, Pretoria, to make structural changes to the house, should anyone ever wish to.

The guest house opened its doors for business in 2007. It offers 9 spacious en-suite rooms with floor areas of between 20 and 30 square meters each.
